(Clicked some snaps at J. M. Road, Pune, India)
In the city of Pune full of vehicles, I often connect with the trees.
Walking through the lanes, in the sun,
They are constant companions,
Old and spreading their wings across the lane,
Providing shade they give a soothing feeling,
They stand witness to the slowly transforming city,
They are a delight as seasons change,
They must have grown inch by inch,
No one might have noticed their journey of so many years.
My companions may be old but, they don’t stop giving selflessly to we humans,
And put us to shame.
